Dr. Casey Ferri, PSY.D., L.P., is a cognitive behavior therapist who utilizes a goal-oriented, solutions-focused approach to treatment. Dr. Ferri works collaboratively with clients to identify maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors and individualized interventions to promote lasting change. In contrast to traditional psychology’s emphasis on pathology and illness, Dr. Ferri's training emphasized a strengths-based approach to treatment and positive psychology.

Throughout her training and current practice, Dr. Ferri has experience with children, adults, and parents as well as psychological assessment and evaluation. Dr. Ferri has worked with a wide range of pathology including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress, adjustment disorder, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and eating disorders. As opposed to simply the absence of disorders and symptoms, she emphasizes facilitating growth and a healthy lifestyle in all her clients.

The first half of Dr. Ferri's predoctoral internship took place at an alternative middle school where she served students with severe behavioral and emotional needs. Her role in this internship also included ongoing consultation with teachers, families, and outside providers. The second half of her predoctoral internship is in a college counseling center working as an individual therapist and crisis interventionist for young adults.

During her graduate school training, Dr. Ferri served as Clinic Coordinator of the Institute of Family Forensic Psychology where she collaborated with family court and social services to find restorative solutions for high-conflict families in transitional periods. In addition, She also spent time as a peer supervisor where she helped newer clinic members acclimate to becoming a clinician. Additionally, Dr. Ferri spent two years at the Positive Psychology clinic for Emerging Adults and the Family Trauma Institute.

Dr. Ferri has recently made Texas her home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature through hiking, traveling, horseback riding, and playing with her dog, Sasha. She also loves game nights, crafting, and finding exciting new places to eat.
