Betsy Ezell, M.A., LPC, BCN is a highly skilled and compassionate therapist committed to supporting individuals through life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and major life transitions. With many years of experience in the counseling field, she works collaboratively with adolescents, adults, couples, and families to foster healing, resilience, and personal growth.
Betsy is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is board-certified in Neurofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, where she also serves as a mentor and didactic teacher to other professionals. Since 2016, she has provided therapeutic and Neurofeedback services across all age groups, helping clients improve symptoms related to trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, relational stress, and sleep disturbances.
Her clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), ensuring individualized care that meets the unique needs of her clients.
Betsy’s career includes her work at the largest community mental health clinic serving Colorado’s northern front range, where she developed, oversaw, and expanded their Neurofeedback program while contributing to establishing the state standard for quality Neurofeedback care. Earlier in her career, she worked in a trauma-informed residential and day treatment facility with adolescents and their families, where she developed a passion for helping individuals recover from trauma. During this time, she integrated EMDR into her practice, supporting clients in achieving meaningful therapeutic progress.
In addition to her clinical work, Betsy is dedicated to advancing the field of mental health by guest lecturing and offering continuing education at facilities, universities, hospitals, and schools. She enjoys mentoring emerging professionals and empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their careers.
Outside of her professional life, Betsy finds joy in live music, hiking with her dog, reading, and baking.
